Osechi (New Year's dishes)

ingredients:

Daikon radish ... 300g (about 1/4 radish)
Carrot ... 50g (about 1/3 of a medium-sized carrot)
Salt (for preparation) ... 2/3 teaspoon
A.Vinegar (rice vinegar or grain vinegar) ... 4 A:tablespoons (60 ml)
A:Sugar ... 25g (2 1/2 tablespoons)
A: Salt ... 1/3 teaspoon

Recipe:

1.Cut radish, carrot and yuzu peel into thin strips.
2. Salt the daikon and carrot lightly, drain off the water and pour <mixed vinegar (A)> over the daikon and carrot.
3, Place in a bowl and garnish with boiled peas and yuzu peel, if desired.
